Investigation in Sleep Apnea
The main objectives are to explore the pathogenesis linking obstructive sleep apnea and hypertension and categorize the distinct patient phenotypes with both conditions. This classification aims to tailor therapeutic interventions to each specific phenotype. Also, we want to restructure the current healthcare model for sleep apnea, shifting it from a centralized approach based in hospitals and specialized sleep care units to a more community-oriented model managed through Primary Healthcare Centres.
